Would You Like Some Tea?
The birthday weekend continued today with a lovely tea at the Simpson House. LVP, with baby C in tow, and LAP (the two Lindas) initiated the gorgeous affair. While sitting on the veranda of the house, surrounded by a beautiful garden (pictured here), the three of us sipped tea from a list of favorites and snacked, daintily, on tartlets, finger sandwiches and a variety of other treats. We talked girl talk, passed the baby around and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. This Inn is a great spot to duck out of the rush of the day, and it's only two blocks from my apartment! I never knew it was there because it was so expertly hidden behind twenty-foot shrubs. Our leisurely early-afternoon date was a success and I'm on for a cat nap before dinner, care of the son, brother-in-law, uncle and Godfather of my hostesses, GBP. Photos to be posted soon.Ed Note: Dinner with G was fa-bu. We furthered the B&B vibe by dining at Louie's, inside the Upham Hotel. Very nice, and the lobster appetizer was tops!!!
